So the humans decided that they didn’t want to cook dinner and would rather be waited on (sounds a little like us dogs)
The humans decided that as it’s only a mile or so from where we live, that a nice gentle stroll up into Wareham would be good as then they could both have a cheeky tipple or two.
First stop was a walk along the river, plenty of sniffs and smells and oh look …ducks! Must not chase them like the last time I disgraced myself in a public place. That time I took the humans by surprise and it ended up in as chase, duck first, me with lead dragging behind and human frantically trying to catch me (I was not in their good books)
The river is great and although I am not a water dog and probably never will be, its very scenic and pretty with buildings on one side and fields on the other. Should you also find yourself needing to relieve yourself there is a poo bin by the bridge.
Humans decided that by now they needing feeding and stopped at The Old Granary down on the quay, us dogs are made to feel most welcome with dog bowls in the reception area and a big container full of biscuits, the humans can even buy me Bottom Sniffer beer and Pawsecco! Dogs are allowed throughout the bar area and outside, where they have tables overlooking the river but we are not in the restaurant.
The humans seemed to enjoy their food as the plates were clean, not licked clean (that’s not appropriate behaviour I am told) and they even had pudding!
Wareham seems to have lots of food places where us dogs are welcomed for example the Coffee Saloon, The Salt Pig, and many of the pubs such as The Quay, The Kings Arms and The Duke of Wellington just so long as we are well behaved (so no parties then pooches)
